Photo and Video Contest
Rules for Submission
- Submissions are open from April 10, 2023 – July 31, 2023.
- There is no limit on how many photos/videos or categories you can submit.
- You must be the original artist—the one who took the photo or video and the editor, if applicable.
- You must be a student participant of a WorldStrides program from January 1, 2023 – July 31, 2023.
Categories
There are six categories in total. You may submit as many entries as you would like. However, participants may only win up to two times (once in a non-grand prize category and once in the grand prize category).

Photo Categories:
This year, WorldStrides is celebrating 55 years of life-changing moments! Help us celebrate by submitting a photo that highlights a life-changing moment you experienced on a trip with us.
The best part of traveling, adventuring, and learning? Doing it with your friends! Submit a photo of you and your friends having the time of your lives. Try to get the background in your photo(s) so we can see where you are.
From your Program Leader to tour guides, bus drivers, and more, our programs include so many people who go above and beyond to guarantee students have a life-changing trip! Submit a photo with or of someone you’d like to thank for making your trip special.
Video/Reel/TikTok Categories:
In the world of social media, you never know when you’ll go viral on Instagram or TikTok! Send us a 30-60 second reel or TikTok-style video that you think has the potential to take off. Think about what’s trending and get creative! We’ll try our best to make your video go viral. 😁
Have you ever seen something so stunning it makes you gasp? Submit a 30-60 second video that shows off the location that took your breath away! It might be something you saw in nature, cool architecture/buildings, a monument, or a tourist attraction.
If you took a million photos and/or videos on your trip, show them off! Create a 30-60 second Instagram reel/TikTok-style video to a catchy song that highlights all the best parts of your trip.
Grand Prize Category:
Inspirational Leaders: Grand Prize
Educational travel and experiential learning are the heart of WorldStrides. Submit a video explaining in 60 seconds how traveling and learning outside of the classroom have positively impacted you. What would you tell another student to encourage them to go? What are your favorite memories from your trip? What’s something that changed your life on the trip? This is for the grand prize, so try to add as much detail as possible! This video could be created by filming yourself talking or a voiceover of photo or video footage of your trip.
Winner Selection
- Winners will be selected based on content relevancy, image resolution and overall quality, candidness, composition, originality, creativity, and overall presentation.
- Six winners (one winner per category, excluding the grand prize category) will be chosen every two weeks from the contest start date of April 10, 2023. Winners will be notified by email.
- There will be one grand prize winner chosen on July 31, 2023.
- Winners of non-grand prize categories will receive a $100 Visa eGift Card by email.
- The grand prize winner will receive a $500 Visa eGift Card by email.
