As a guideline, international applicants will complete/will have completed their school leaving examinations in 2016-2029 and will be approximately 11 to 25 years old when accepted into the Series.
The Honors Performance Series was established to showcase the most talented young musicians today on some of the world’s greatest stages.
The 2023 Honors Performance Series will be hosted in two locations: the Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage at Carnegie Hall and at the Concert Hall at the world-renowned Sydney Opera House.

Nominations are instrumental in identifying talented students for the Series. School teachers, university professors, and private instructors are all eligible to nominate for the Honors Performance Series.

In order to be considered for the Honors Performance Series, musicians must submit an audition recording, brief performing biography, and contact information for a teacher reference. All applications are reviewed by an expert board of music professionals for final selection. Selected musicians are assigned to ensembles based upon ensemble balance requirements.
